Abstract: Cartography has been discussed in Brazil as a research method that makes the assumption of methodological reversal, in which the research path is set prior to the goals that are to be attained. This text seeks to contribute to the discussions on the education for cartographers, considering that to conduct research from a cartographic perspective requires a body that mobilizes certain qualities such as attention, presence, availability and sensitivity, among others. By bringing our experience of theory and practice closer to the thinking of authors with links to the philosophy of difference and Keleman and Favre's ideas on topics involving the body, it was sought to systematize some guides for constructing a body for cartographers, which could guide research, professional practice and the teaching-learning process. Over the course of this text, we have sought to consider the construction of devices that can promote meetings formed by affections and events.
