Departamento de Clínica Médica - FM/MCM

O Departamento de Clínica Médica da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP) iniciou-se em 1917 quando o Dr. Domingos Rubião Alves Meira tornou-se, por decreto, Professor Catedrático da 1ª Clínica Médica; na ocasião, a estrutura do Departamento hoje conhecida não estava formulada, portanto, é importante ter em conta que desta data até os dias atuais muitas sucessões e mudanças estruturais foram implementadas no Departamento de Clínica Médica.

Como resultado do histórico que liga o Departamento de Clínica Médica às origens da Faculdade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo e, em decorrência dos avanços obtidos no decorrer de sua existência, ele atua hoje como um dos maiores departamento da Faculdade com 43 docentes distribuídos em dez Disciplinas: Reumatologia; Imunologia Clínica e Alergia; Clínica Geral e Propedêutica; Emergências Clínicas; Serviço de Geriatria; Endocrinologia e Metabologia; Unidade de Endocrinologia Genética/Hereditária; Hematologia e Hemoterapia; Nefrologia e Terapêutica Clínica.
